Hello! :)
My name is Venus Valdez, and I am from Washington, D.C. I am currently a Digital Media major at the University of the District of Columbia.
After graduation, I plan to use my degree to build a career in photography, videography, and creative media production. My long-term goal is to work on professional projects that combine art, storytelling, and technology—whether that’s through documentary photography, film, or digital content creation.
I want to positively impact my community by offering creative services to small businesses, artists, and local organizations that may not have access to high-quality media. By helping others share their stories visually, I hope to strengthen community voices and preserve cultural history.
Some of my special skills include photography, video editing, and design. I enjoy blending creativity with technology to produce visually striking projects. My ability to learn quickly, adapt, and experiment with new tools sets me apart.
My motivation to succeed comes from my desire to turn my passion into a career, while also creating opportunities for others. I am driven by the idea that my skills can not only build my future but also serve and inspire people around me.
In 20+ years, I would like to be known as someone who used creativity and innovation to make a lasting difference—a person who helped shape how stories are told in both art and media.
Fun Fact: I love exploring cities with my camera, capturing everyday life in unexpected ways.
